How would you rank the current NBA teams, based on overall play?

This is how I would rank them:

East:

1. Boston

2. Detroit

3. Cleveland

4. Orlando

5. Toronto

6. Philadelphia (playing better as of late)

7. Washington

8. Chicago

9-15. Take your pick

West:

1. LA Lakers (I hate to say it. I HATE to say it! DAMMIT!)

2. San Antonio

3. Houston

4. Utah

5. New Orleans

6. Phoenix (Shaq trade weakened them)

7. Dallas

8. Denver

9. Golden State

10. Portland

11. Sacramento

12-15. Take your pick

yea i agree with you right now but i think things will change by playoff time.houston will cool down, new orleans will remain as good but wont do that good cause of lack of experience, ...
I think Dallas should be ahead of Phoenix and maybe even Denver. Shaq in no way helped that team. They have to totally changed their game plan and may not be able to recover this season.
This how I would rank the teams overall. You're list is good.

Golden State and Denver have had better play recently than Dallas or Phoenix. I think it might not be a shock that either Dallas or Phoenix might miss the playoffs due their players not meshing together. These trades were done too late in the season. Shaq is impossible to fit immediately in the Suns. Like Oil and Water. Kidd hasn't found the right balance which usually takes time. PG's are hardest to adjust because they run the show. Detroit is so lazy. Cleveland has produced better basketball. They dug to big a whole to win the division but this team is better than last years and they can beat Detroit.
Miami #1

Just playing I agree with your east, but Sacramento shouldnt be on the west list and I put Houston #1 Golden State #8 and Denver # 9
i would say the same thing as you just put detroit in front of boston
id take golden state over denver... and sacramento shouldnt be on there, in my opinion. the rest seems pretty good, i hate the lakers too, but they are really good right now.
