Bad trade for the lakers: Shaq and Kobe have already shown they cant share the spotlight. Also Shaq is old and is gonna continue to fade. Not worth it for two strong young players.

Also bad trade for wizards. Kwame brown for Caron? Kwame is good but nowhere near caron man.

If i am the heat and i can pull this off i am the happiest team on earth. Odom and Butler for an aging veteran (albeit a great one). Shaqs numbers will continue to fall and he will become like mutumbo and mourning: a backup centre giving veteran leadership.

This is a unique trade, bercause it has players going back to where they used to be. I believe that Kwame was originally with the Wizards, and Odom and Butler were origionally with the Heat. We all know where Shaq used to be.

From the Lakers' point of view, this is an OK trade, because they basically gave up Odom for Shaq. But, Shaq isn't getting youngerr, and he won'yt give the Lakers any more than 18 ppg and 8 rpg. However, Shaq makes a domineering impact, and his presencve will ber felt immeadiatly. I'd love to see Shaq and Kobe back together again, side by side. Mabye thewy will be met with sucsess (remember the three championships). Without Odom and Kwame, the Lakers don't have a deep team (Parker is gone too). However, in 2001, they won it all with Ron Harper playing pg (2.5 assists?!!?), meaning that even without a good team, you can still win with Shaq and Kobe.

This is a horrible trade for the Wizards. Kwame for Butler?!!? Butler is part of Washington's big 3, and I really doubt Kwame will ever be as solid as Butler. Besides, why would Washington want that mistake (Kwame) back? He was the #1 pick in the 2001 draft.

For the Heat, it is an OK trade, because you usually need a dominant big man to win the NBA finals (last 4 years: Shaq, Big Ben, Duncan), and without Shaq, they have none (sorry Mourning, Haslem). However, they do get two brilliant role players in Odom and Butler, and mabye those two will team up with Wade to meet sucsess.

Overall this trade isn't that bad. As I said before, I'd love to see this trade happen, only because Shaq and Kobe are on the same team again.
Well, it's pretty funny returning the guys to their old teams. The Lakers would love to have Shaq back, but imagine him and Kobe together again. Woe! The Wizards won't want anything to do with Brown (can you blame them). The Heat getting Odom and Butler would be nice, but they want to ride the Diesel until he retires.
